TRAINEE MEDIA PLANNER/BUYER

Our client, a leading specialist Direct Marketing company outside of Bath, is looking for a Trainee Media Planner/Buyer. The junior role requires someone with a good Maths A level, to be highly numerate and want a career in a niche marketing company. The role of the Planner/Buyer is to produce media list/plans and buy campaigns across all specialist direct media.This requires a good knowledge of all specialist media plus a skill in negotiation. It will require an ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally. The Planner/Buyer’s main concern should be to meet their client’s business objectives by producing cost-effective and innovative media/list plans and delivering the best available cost deals for all media, with a strong focus on results. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm.

Salary:

£15,000 - £16,000

Requirements:

- Qualified to degree level - Able to demonstrate a strong mathematical ability [minimum GCSE Maths grade A or B] - Basic knowledge of the list, door to door, insert and card deck marketing (training will be provided to enhance knowledge) - Excellent communication and presentation skills – this is a client-facing role - Minimum GCSE English grade A or B - Negotiation skills - Excellent PC skills including MS Excel - Excellent time management and organising skills - Analytical with an eye for detail - Team player - Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines - Desire to embark on a (or continue) career as a Media Planner/Buyer - Confidence and initiative to provide innovative ideas - Enthusiastic, confident, personable and find communication with people easy - The right person will be dedicated and happy to put in the time and effort required to progress their career.

SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER / ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

New role in expanding package and design company. Our client requires someone who can prepare quality proposals and presentation and manage full life cycle with the client. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to grow accounts and maximise revenue opportunities and build on existing client business. You will need to lead and direct projects and assist in growing the global revenue. You will need to project manage client communication and deliver studio briefs, plan resource against budget, manage direct reports,help shape brand, assist in delivering strategy. This requires a comprehensive knowledge of all specialist media plus a skill in negotiation. It will require an ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally. The Senior Planner/Buyer¡¦s main concern should be to meet their client¡¦s business objectives by producing cost-effective and innovative media plans and delivering the best available cost deals for all media, with a strong focus on results. You will have a responsibility to train and work closely with one or more Planner/Buyers on all accounts. You should be expected to have strong client relationships and attend regular client meetings with/ without a Planner/Buyer.

Salary:

£20,000 - £30,000
