Senir Applicant Data Officer

My Client is the world’s largest central admissions service for higher education. This year we will process 2,000,000 applications from 500,000 applicants all over the world for courses at UK universities and colleges. In addition to applications for full time undergraduate courses we also process applications for postgraduate places, graduate teacher training and the music Conservatoires. The Applicant, Stakeholder and Qualification (ASQ) Team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage the applicant data collected across all admission schemes to ensure it is fit for purpose, meets quality standards and conforms to policy. You will have good working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, methods and tools for extracting and investigating data such as SQL and methods of data transfer such as XCRI or XML. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required together with experience of motivating a team of staff. You will ideally have an interest and understanding of data management, or significant experience of managing data. You will have excellent communication skills and have an understanding of data modelling techniques and database design. The post-holder will be expected to manage a varied workload liasing with key personnel to resolve and document issues and resolutions.
